He's been off school for three days with a cold - we're always ultra-careful with him at this time of year because of his asthma. When I took him in today he was so obviously delighted to be back - kept going up to his particular friends and cupping their faces in his hands. They were all saying 'DS2, hurray, you're back!' which was lovely too. He then had a little dance with his teacher in the middle of the room before sitting down (next to his best friend rather than at his workstation, but no-one seemed to mind).
So good to see how much his social side has developed - I've been a bit down recently about the stalling of language progress but this was a perfect example of effective non-verbal communication
