Ds1 is in year one of a sn school. We have booked a holiday for 4 days in October crossing a Monday and Friday. I asked what the school policy is and they said that we would have to write in and request but unofficially we can take ten days but we would have to give a reason why we are taking it in term time. The reason is this is the last available opportunity for a while as I am due with DC3 in December. If they say no we will go anyway but Im wondering whether we should just say DS1 is ill. I dont know any of the other parents or I would ask what their experience is. The head is a bit of a dragon.
