After the weekend from hell my ds(3.6 ASD) has been a total little sod until dinner time.
He held out his fork for me to blow on his dinner without shouting at me, tried to wipe up the potato he dropped onto the carpet(squashed more in than anything), took his own plate out and cleared the remains into the bin and then put his dirty clothes into the washing basket.
All without any asking or prompting from me at all!!!
Im sooo proud that my little man has started to learn by himself!!

Now comes the fun of shaving his head now. His hair grows in all directions so i just razor it all off!!

Aww, bless.

spursmum · 06/09/2005 19:30

There's no bless about it!!! He's going to look like a thug when I've finished. He knocked a tooth out at the weekend and has stitches so this will complete the look.

Ouch!

spursmum · 06/09/2005 19:40

Yup. came off his scooter, knocked out his front tooth which went back through his mouth as he hit the floor. 1 large split in the mouth, no front tooth and copious amounts of blood. We looked like we had killed someone.
To top it off, my local hospitals don't do general anathestic(sp?) on kids so was transferred over 35 miles to a hospital that does.
Then he was starved all day for surgery only to be told at 10pm that they were going to do it in the morning. Then the nurses made me wake him up at 11:30pm to make him drink something!!!! ARGH!

Bloody hell spursmum! Still, good to hear about his independence emerging.
