Neuro appt today, feeling stressed about it

DD has an appointment with her two Neurology Professors today, just for a review.

They said on phone they have drawn a blank so I doubt anything bad will be said at the appointment but I feel absolutely sick about going.

I don't know if it's the fear they have missed something bad or the bad memories from the last appointment where we were waiting to hear she had something progressive.

Anyway I am all teary and need a kick up the bum! Sad

Fanjo, don't stop posting :( I often think about you & your dd, you must be so scared & the medical people aren't helping at all. I want to see you getting some unambiguous good news asap ((unapologetic hug))

(you're not too needy, the internet can be crap sometimes though, especially when you're feeling low)

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 25/09/2010 21:51

she can't really point yet. She couldn't get her hand to pick up the card, when we tried before she was holding one hand with the other to try to do it.

Thanks trouble.

Thanks for trying to help Starlight, sorry, DD is just a very tricky case as you can imagine!! Smile

Going to bed now, DD is coughing in her sleep, seems like she is getting another cold, she just had one too. Will be a long night!!

Latest update , my mum just told me that my auntie was going on yesterday yet again about how DD is getting stronger and so she can obviously do loads, its just we are holding her back...rather painful and ironic to be blamed for something we are so worried about.

Fanjo, that is just fear talking. Discard the comments like old rags. Sad

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 26/09/2010 08:42

It doesn't help that I haven't told her of the latest possible loss of skills, as then she will tell my mum who will get ill, DD is wanting to draw just now and getting frustrated when she can't, it's extremely difficult to see.

I do still believe she is having trouble with the hand grip since the nursery tried to teach her the correct way though, the neuro said she doubted this as she thinks DD wouldn't take instruction but i can see DD holding the pen properly and unable to draw, then I just told her that she could hold the pen however she liked and she changed grip and did some drawing, i think nursery have confused her. That's what we though (and were pleased about) before neuro started getting us worried.

well, I don't know if I believe that. Am confused.
