Don't know if anyone just watched this (I think there might be some channel 4 internet thing which you can watch it on if not) but they just found a flat for a gorgeous 18 yr old girl with CP - she had £1.7 million to spend having had a huge payout for birth negligence! She is at uni in London and living independently although requiring round the clock care. She had a great wardrobe - looked like she had spent quite a bit of her payout on some designer dresses! Anyway they found her a perfect flat. Was so nice (and unusual) to see someone quite severely disabled on TV but treated normally if you see what I mean, and also wonderful to see her independence and stuff :)

I think Phil was rather taken with her. I think he also rather enjoyed 'spending' her 1.7 million!

badkitty · 16/09/2010 22:20

It was nice to see them actually earn their money for once and get something with a decent discount as well!

i loved it(although did like her seat .....)
she was lovely and we were so glad she got her pad.

(sorry I meant didn't like her seat)

WetAugust · 16/09/2010 22:25

She actually got it for £1.6M - at a discount!

It did seem the perfect flat for her with its wide open spaces and large outside area, plus the bonus of having a fantastic views and lots of activity outside.

I hope she's enjoying it.

woolytree · 16/09/2010 22:29

we watched, she was such a party animal...and very carefull not to have a drink on camera...as she was nearly 18! Normally Phil has a pint. :)

saltyseadog · 16/09/2010 22:33

Oh I wish I'd seen this. So pleased to hear that they got her sorted out :).

sugarcandymonster · 16/09/2010 23:26

It's online on 4oD. Haven't seen the flat she chose yet but they're all looking quite glam. Grin

settlement for damages done at birth

roundthebend4 · 23/09/2010 16:59

I watched it today was really good and did look like phil was going to cry

but impressed he got what it was about for her and that he was concerned not because of the cp or her wheelchair but because she was only 18

2shoes · 23/09/2010 17:03

I was so glad the OT came in...
I kept asking DH where they were...

she reminded me of dd as she has all the extra movements,

roundthebend4 · 23/09/2010 19:16
