This is gonna sound sillyGrin

ds been home Ed (little bit of school) for 3 yrs. I lead the programme and I am the tea maker, taxi driver/cleaner/dinner lady etc and always their every day.

I used to be very sociable/at gym every night (those were the days wish I was a size 12 again:( and could go anywhere on my own.

I now have no friends left as most didnt have dc, I dont have the free time to go anywhere or have me time and I have found I have got more and not interested in going out ( is this old ageWink) actually feel nervous going out and want to get home asap. My only social time is here ....not that I'm moaning I'd have no social interaction at all unless here:)

Their must be at least two dozen others here like this? Anyone else feel like they have also developed ASD traits as a consequence of their life and dc situation?

Yes Sad.

I do go out but only on my own or with the dd's (rarely with anyone else), i do sit in cafe's on my own (would have before i had the dd's). Dh doesn't go out, doesnt have friends (other than at work), i have very few friends and i find it hard to talk to people (i end up talking about the dd's). I have less confidence and cant look people in the eye when i'm talking to them, i often feel like people are stairing and judging me. My only friends are on here and close family.

I am the same as Marne -I have lost the ability to do small talk, too. I have very few friends in RL.

On a less serious note -I have 'caught' loads of dd's little ways. I find myself wiping my hands before I pick up her books, tucking tags away on towels/coats etc and putting a pair of shoes neatly together, to name a few Grin

I think, personally, that it is known as 'knackered'. Conversation is just an unnecessary over use of a scarce resource - energy
