Independent schools SEN

Hi,
I apologise if this topic has already been covered, but just wondering whether anybody has an experience of a child with a medical condition in an independent school?

Do the schools have to comply with the DDA? Are they within their rights to ask for extra money from you? - Or is this discrimination?Does anybody know of any advice lines/ lawyers in this area of law please? From what I have read it is a grey area.
