My Dd3 is left handed today after school she went to knitting club, I knew it could be a bad idea but she wanted to go and we need her to be positive about school. Anyway I filled in the permission slip and wrote in large letters on the bottom "Please can someone tell the knitting ladies that Dd3 is left handed". I also told her to tell them[ it is being run by the WI, they have been doing it for a year already]. Any way she came out and said she hadn't been able to do it. I asked her if they had tried to teach her and she said "No they haven't got anyone left handed so I have got to learn right handed" I remained calm [it is the WI] and said how did you get on, she said " I could only do one stitch and the lady did it for me, I had to do nothing." she also said she wanted to shout at them but just gave them "A Look".
I know in the grand scheme of things this is very minor but come on, why offer an after school club to a child and then leave them sitting for an hour with nothing to do. I could have gone and fetched her if I had known.
