An interesting and thoughtful article from the Sunday Independent in Ireland. Sums up some of my own feelings when my DS son was born this year.

How are you doing Eliza70? and how is your ds doing - did I see the other day that he is 8 months now? where does the time go.
My ds will be 2 soon and the terrible twos have started big time! we are also about to start the statementing process!!! but apart from that he is ace

Doing really well. Did have a bit of a weep when I read this. Time is really flying in now, we've started swimming classes and he's holding his head up really well and the weaning is going well too. Hard to believe it seemed like the end of the world when he was born!

I know! suddenly they become their own person and get up to achieving all sorts. Good work on the weaning - we had a nightmare of a time for a while but he is now eating the same food as his brothers (ie: rubbish ).

Am really glad you are well - I still get bad days, mainly when I get into comparing him with others. When I stop being silly, the world is good.

Hey adriennemole - I remember you! how are you and yours - have you started the statementing process yet and if so how is it going?

Got our first meeting this week eek! fingers crossed for both of us. DS is doing well, started walking recently and had a birthday last month. Glad to hear your little prince is well (we're also having terrible two issues)
