Very trivial I know but my friends DS is 7 next week and I would like to get him a little gift.

He has ASD and is non verbal with some LDs but he's not really into anything other than random objects he finds around the house to spin or tap with.

The only things that I could think he would like are major outdoor toys that would be way out of my budget.

All ideas welcome please - thanks

I was maybe thinking of those circus toys you spin, like a rocket with ribbons on. My DD loves them, or a hupla loop...hula hoop. Or if he enjoys tapping www.brightminds.co.uk/kids-music/musical-toys/rhythm-sticks.htm...look fun! :)

Windmills, come in all shapes and sizes and quite cheap from garden centres, great for kids who like spinny things.

Dd1 (7), likes windmills and her gym ball (rolls around on it), what about a pop up play house (to chill out in)?

There are lots of light-up spinning things/sensory toys on this website.

I particularly like the look of the spinner infinity mirror.

my ds2 age 7 (asd) loves his mp3 player. You can get really cheap ones or those cheap ipod things (can you tell i'm really up with the technology)

What about www.hawkin.com/20670-04767-HBTOYS/toys/stretchy-smiler

My ds loved this so much I bought him the bigger version.

My ds loves balls - any sort - fotballs, stress balls, bouncy balls.
