Sensory Room

Hi we are looking to make my ds a sensory room with in his own bedroom just wondered were to begin and were best place is for stuff ?

the internet is probably your best friend, try e bay, mum is always raving about a website called fledgelings (sp) but I've not been there myself.
visit a sensory room and find out what you dc is into and concentrate on those things, remember these things are expensive so build up you supply bit by bit.
remember its to stimulate all the senses so invest a bit of time and really ask yourself what you would like o achieve from it.

tfh and rompa have a lot of stuff but be warned some of its pricey!

I made a 'den' out of an Ikea bed- it is raised off the floor by about 2 feet, so I put a curtain around the bottom bit and it's dark and cosy...you can also get a starry 'tent' to put over the top of the bed to make it more secure-feeling for them- DD loves it!
