Hi,

Unfortunately our lot as mum's to special children mean that we often need to upset people. It's not nice but we have to do it.

However sometimes you can get a good professional on board who will take the blame.

I recently did this cos school weren't cleaning Lo's bottom properly. Continence nurse said to blame her and tell the school she had instructed me to show them how I do it as she was concerned of they continued not to do it right he would get an infection - did the trick, school were happy to oblige and horrified they may have ended up causing him to be ill -result Grin and none of it was me raising the issue.

When I met son's Ed Psych for the first time and I was telling him about things which had happened and how I'd dealt with them he asked me and I quote, ' Are you the bitch mother from Hell?'. I said, yip that's me. And do you know what he said...............? When you have a child with additional needs it's the best way to be. Those kinds of mothers always ensure their kids get the best service!

So don't be too worried about upsetting them. You entrust your child into their care every day. They have a responsibility to ensure that he is included and that his learning is progressing, even if that means they need to make some reasonable adjustments ( Disability discrimination Act)

Go get them !
