waitingforgodot · 09/09/2010 16:22

sorry to hear the news x

SanctiMoanyArse · 09/09/2010 16:25

Oh and will say a prayer for you; I have no idea if its true or not but m,y Aunt swears her son was saved after she spent time at Glstonbury Abbey (she does live opposite so no great pilgrimage LOL)- whether it worked or not is a matter of opinion, but the fact is it gave her great comfort and a reason to keep battling which is enough.

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 09/09/2010 16:33

thanks sancti i would love for you to pray. It keeps us going on a bad day and keeps us strong on others :)

Didn't know if you'd seen my post on your other thread but I think we are living parallel lives. I have two with autism and dh on chemo which is working for now.Dh has tested positive for the dodgy gene (JAK 1? ) so I think longterm things could be bad but have head firmly in the sand for now.
I'm thinking of you and your family and will keep you in my prayers.

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 10/09/2010 13:57

thanks asdx2 horrile isnt it. :(
what type of cancer did your dh have?

OP posts:
asdx2 · 10/09/2010 15:08

Lisa Dh is on chemo to prevent the blood condition he has progressing to leukaemia. The dodgy gene means that once the chemo stops working the leukaemia will be untreatable and terminal.
As it is now he gets all the downsides of chemo without the leukaemia but when he gets leukaemia he will come off the chemo and have all the downsides of leukaemia and die Sad

asdx2 · 10/09/2010 15:11

Lisa is it ok if I email you and give you details of a charity that funded a holiday for us this year? I don't have CAT

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 10/09/2010 17:03

sorry to hear that asdx2 cancer is a pita. Darren will always have small amounts of cancer if he doesnt go with transplant and if he stops meds it will come back too.

yes please email me minx101 at hotmail dot com
