ADHD Assessment

Hi

Has anyone got any experience of what happens at an ADHD assessment ?

My DS recently went for the ADOS and was diagnosed as having Autistic Spectrum disorder, but at the end of that session they said I would have to bring him back to see the specialist in ADHD. The appointment has now come through for an assessment next week and I was wondering if anyone knows what they may involve ?

Not sure. Have you completed a Connors questionnaire?

Ds did not have any specific assessment with the paediatrician- although he checked his heart, BP ( er well he tried!), reflexes etc We were given a conners rating questionaire (forms to fill in for school and home) and asked to send them back. After analysing the forms, the specialist rang back to discuss medication. Ds was 5 and barely verbal at the time so it may be different for a more advanced child. Ds also has autism.
