DS1 doing very well at school - but saving everything up for home. Meltdowns started as he crossed the threshold of the school yesterday afternoon, and he eventually managed to sleep about 11.30 I think. Much calling out and getting up to switch the light on through the night.

I am spoiled in the holidays, his anxieties are much less pronounced.

I hope today is a better one :)

I sometimes wish the professionals could be around to see the after-school children we have to deal with. I imagine there'd be more adequate provision if it were their sleep which was being disturbed and they had to walk on eggshells every evening.

Thanks guys x

Less screaming today, tantrums have gaps between them at least! As long as I don't look at/ talk to him, we're fine. Grin

OMG OMG OMG he's asleep Shock Shock Shock

Oh, that is just weird. And also brilliant. But mainly weird. He's seeing the paed tomorrow about getting melatonin, I'll have to say it's OK, he's cured now! Wink

I wonder if it was the Doctor Who Proms that did it. Confused

yay for sleeping crunchytadpole.

ds started school today and we had to keep it so calm and almost casual because he was getting really worked up anytime we showed any excitement about it.

Was another time when you realise not just how different they are but also how differently you behave - I'm sure i come over as the worst helicopter mum when by inclination I'm of the let them drag themselves up school of parenting Grin

Ok, apparently if we go to sleep early, we get up at 3 am.
