The journey was an hour. After half an hour ds2 hadn't paused for breath- continuous stream of chattter about trains. 2women sitting next to us were laughing at him and then said "the other one hasn't said a word yet". PMSL. How can people spend half an hour and not notice? He was stimming like crazy and had a PECS book.

I would have thought it's quite nice they just saw a mum and her 2 boys on the train and didn't notice anything 'different' about you all.

Hope you had a good day wherever you were going.

I just thought it was funny. they prob thought ds1 couldn't get a word in edgeways. "the other one hasn't said a word yet" meant they noticed that. I think it might have dawned on them soon after though as he started growling. Poor people on the return journey werten't so lucky ds1 screamed and screamed because the train didn't start immediately. Very unfortunately we were sitting next to 2 adults with ld's and their carers. One was non-verbal autistic- coped very well with ds1's hideous noise though. dh was encouraged by the adult with autism (because he was enjoying himself), I was just depressed.

actually dinosaur we did count it as a successful trip MOSt successful one we;'ve had in ages. What's a bit of screaming? Stopped as soon as the train started. Even that was funny because I kept automatically saying "ds1 waiting, waiting" and each time I said waiting he screamed louder, but I couldn't stop myself saying (was probably saying it mainly for the benfit of passers-by- as we knew he'd stop as soon as the train started).
