All that time and fare money wasted! Sad for you.

magso · 01/09/2010 11:41

Oh no! What an awful waste!!
I have twice turned up for appointments for ds to find they had been cancelled the day before and the letter to tell me sent out second class!

TotalChaos · 01/09/2010 14:24

magso - did they not try and phone you as well as write? rtb - how crap. hope you can get your transport costs reimbursed.

roundthebend4 · 01/09/2010 14:35

Total chaos luckily ds has bus pass that carer travels on for free but still had to pay for dd to go to holiday club as did not want to drag her

We just got in now so that's 8 hrs for zilch

Can you get hospital transport next time?? Its actually better the further away you are as they tend to send a taxi just for you.

roundthebend4 · 01/09/2010 20:51

am seriously condiering it just need to get them to agree they tend not to be so keen to give for dc yet when we have had lot of the elder people get on way easier than ds only downside is you can be waiting around .

Broomfields is the worse one journey wise 3 buses each eay and some of them only hourly its actually easier to get to Addenbrooks from mine

problem with hospital transport is you have to be ready to go really early, even if you have say a 12.00 appointment, they might pick you at any time from 8.30, and of course the reverse on the way home, people can end up waiting hours....

anonandlikeit · 02/09/2010 16:45

Yeh but if you live in the sticks (like us) nobody else is en route, so they just send a taxi Grin
