I am not coping now. DD1 has just sat on her potty and peed through her pants and trousers deliberately. The straw that broke the camel's back. 6 weeks without a break. I don't even know when she starts school so can't mentally count down.

Dd1 goes back on Thursday. Despite this having been a relatively calm summer for us, with some great leaps forward from dd1, its not a day too soon.

Dd2 also starts pre-school next week - ooh, child free time, blimey, won't know what to do with myself Grin

And yep Riven we have the same loads if appoinments Seotember /October and because of transport ge be of all day to

Lougle · 30/08/2010 18:37

I phoned the council the other day in a panic that they might have thought DD1 could go on transport with just a booster. They had ordered her car seat the day before . Apparently her form said that she required a 5-point harness. (Well of course it did, I sat over the woman filling it in and watched her write it, with NO SENSE OF DANGER after it, but that doesn't mean that the message got through, does it? Grin)

I hope it goes well for her, 2shoes. Is this the big one, about where she spends the next few years? Or did you manage to keep her where she is?

Be bold, be courageous.....

After a weekend at my parents (and an unfortunate confluence of hormones), I sat and cried and cried and cried, last night, after DS1 had his 3rd major scream-the-neighbourhood-down meltdown in 4 days.

At least DS2 covered me up with his sleeping bag when I was slumped on the sofa feeling sorry for myself :)

He's very withdrawn, but at least keeping it together, so far today. DH has the day off tomorrow so we can take DS2 to an appointment across the county, so Thursday is another potential flashpoint. That leaves 3 more days and I will include the weekend, since DS1 will probably spend most of that getting increasingly worked up about going to school on monday.

Deep breaths...

donkeyderby · 31/08/2010 23:05

Hurrah for school. DS doesn't want to go but I want him to! He's started throwing things today, a new outlet for his behaviour. He cheerfully threw a plate and a fruit bowl in the air. Beginning to think I need to re-think my house design if this continues....
