A pig?

I thought there was an expression like 'pigs flying' when something very unusual happened. Perhaps a donkey?? Sorry, as you may know English is not my first language...

Ahhh! LOL "pigs might fly" means does mean that something unsual may have happened but also that it is unbelieviable. (I think I'm easily confused)

I'm still getting the hang of those English 'idiomatic phrases', as they call them in school.
