Yesterday we went to the park, and DS (4.9, asd) went on the zip-wire for the first time and all by himself!!
I couldn't believe it, as the last time he didn't want to try it even if sitting on my lap.
Then a girl aged about 7 or 8 was using it, DS was hovering near by and kept looking to check if it was free. After about 10 minutes he went over to her and told her it was his go now! Grin nicely she obliged.

I felt so chuffed that he managed to wait patiently and actually did ask her instead of trying to snatch or having a tantrum.
All the hours put in by the language unit and us at home to teach him turn taking and asking for things seems to start paying off!
