Well, we had an appointment yesterday and DS (5) proceeded to display possibly the worst behaviour I have ever seen in the guy's office, throwing toys, screaming, shouting, banging on the door to get out I said to my husband that I felt we and our reactions to it were being scrutinised as well as ds. He thinks I'm paranoid. I think he's being naive.

When questioned about OT for ds the paed said it had 'limited use' for his sensory issues.

He said that there were people out there willing to take money off well meaning and desperate parents and to be careful if we went for any other sort of therapy

However, after ds scampering around dervish style for 10 mins he has put a referral into CAMHS for ADHD.

Other than that, I came away feeling that I'd been told 'there you go, that's it, that's all you can do, live with it'

thats how i felt about my commumity paed, we have been getting fobbed off that like for nearly 3 years, while they observe him (twice a year for 40 mins) so i have asked to see another well respected paed, his boss actually, as i have had good feedback from other people with kids who have special needs. x
