Does anyone here claim Tax Credits - Is this quite easy to do ? How do you qualify ?

info here about eligibility. It's dependent on your income. If you are eligible and claim I think you get the disability element on top depending on what rate dla you get, you just tell them you get dla they do the rest.

I would like to advise you that trying to get through on their "helpline" of 0845 3003900 is virtually impossible at the moment, but there is an alternate number which I managed to get through straight away on today...

It's worth doing, but the form is a bit of a sod... and they are incredibly unhelpful on the phone. If you request form will refuse to send it unless you can give them wage and income details and they can do quick caluculation to see if you are likely to get it, when you ring they say you just need NI number, but you need other info too. local carers centre helped complete it tho. V helpful.
