Fragile X blood test...?

Does anyone know how long it takes for the results to come back?

My DS's bloods were taken in April and came back this week. (South Yorkshire).

I have heard it is taking 6 months in sothampton area due to a backlog - so will prob vary area to area.

Hiya I'm in north london and my son's results came within a few weeks of the blood being taken. Hope this helps.

Bettypage...Thanks I am in Lancs, guess it does vary depending where you are as tiredmelly said, isn't it strange?

I should have said DS had numerous tests for things such as thyroid and then the full chromosone screening tests.

They may have had the fragile x result sooner but not actually reported it to us as nothing was found.
