I have just joined mumsnet today!! My ds age 7 has not been well this week with temp etc.. have also noticed over the last week or so (before he became poorly) that his tummy looks bloated. It feels quite hard to touch. No change in poos and this has never been a problem (thank-fully). Appetite gone off a bit but happily eating sausages and yorkshire pudding as we speak.
I know there is a lot of discussion about digestive problems and bloating. I have never tried any special diets because his food choices are incredibly limited anyway in terms of what he will agree to eat.
I wanted to post a message for people's experiences and comments about this as I don't know how much of a problem this bloating is.
Thanks for reading it, sorry its so long and rambling. confused (attempting a confused face!!)

My ds also has very restrictive eating so I can understand your difficulty with special diets.

I'd suggest if the bloating worries you then you need to take him to the docs. Could all be part the illness he's had maybe. Viruses can act in a strange way.

Welcome to Mumsnet, btw.
