Am thinking of going next week. They offer half price for disabled people and carers (with proof of eligiblity). Do they do fast track? Is it likely to be very busy, and what is it like?

i went August last year with dh and ds (aged 6) and i think they fast track. it was quite busy when we went and you can queue quite a while for the bigger rides (1 hour for the water log) but only a short 5 of 10 min queue the smaller children's rides. there are rides for everyone. we went because it was a choice between there and Lightwater Valley (Which doesnt have a zoo and nowhere near as many rides)and DS doesnt really like rides so we thought as it had a zoo it wouldnt be money wasted. In the end we didnt see much of the ZOO as we couldnt get ds off the kids rides. You can definitely make a day of it. We were going to go this year but haven't had the chance yet. Even though it was busy there was still plenty of room to move and walk about as most things are quite spread about.

We last went when DS1 was quite small, so didn't really bother with the rides. We spent a long time walking around the zoo and that proved to be nice and quiet and not over-stimulating. It was actually the first time we'd allowed DS1 to do any significant amount of walking away form familiar places. The area where the rides are is manic, though, but at least it's easy to escape from for a bit.
