dd4 was turned down in may for dla. i didnt get the letter and called in june to enquire what was happening. as it was past 4 weeks since they decided on the award i would have to do the long way round to do a reconsideration, and tbh i was so not bothered at that point as had a full month of hospital appointments so left it.

when can we reapply?

we have a big allergy appointment in august (talking about skin prick testing to find out more)has an epipen, (allergic to milk, eggs and nuts), asthmatic, and she has hypermobility. she is now walking (yippee!), but walks a little funny, dragging one leg, so need to go back via physio route.

i'm not sure if i can face the DLA forms again so soon, especially as we arent 100% sure whats going on.

I cant leave her with anyone who isnt epipen trained, and i am struggling atm. i want to be able to go out and leave her with someone who is trained. but cant.

i know its not as bad as some on here, but just would really like to be able to use a creche safely (cant afford to atm anyway) or buy her some more foods which are suitable (and bloomin expensive).

There are many places that can help you the CAB included.

Do remember with the dla it's about mobility and care which is over and above a child of that age.

You need help to provide it all written down. Especially with the care, how much care does your dd condition mean you have to give, over and above that of a "normal" child.

Focus on the care not the dx and get help to see if you will meet the critera of the DM's.

Try to get someone to help you fill it in if you get a chance to reaply.
I did as its an awful form to fill in on your own.
My friend that helped me was a teacher and worded things better than I ever could.

My dd gets it she 4.4 and has mild hypotonia and severe speech delay, also wakes every night for a few hours.
From what you have said Im sure you would get it if you appealed.

GOOD LUCK
