I set ds2 up with a digital camera ( and tripod.. But you could use a stack of books).. His obessional starwars figures and set him on the computer with movie maker ( it's on the pc anyway).

He has been busy for hours making a movie

tomorrow we are going to make social stories with it
( under the pretence of helping you ger children )

the only way i could get ds to the zoo was with camera and star war lego figures and we took pics of them shooting animals .

that's our next move is to make a story/movie with the characters and that's going to be ds xmas present to everyone (early planning!) .

i've never done it before and it was very easy ( ds2 showed me lol)

I can think of lots of things we can achieve via this

Oooh great idea

I'm thinking the rotten McToy collection could come in very handy....

DS1 adores making movies - starwars or doctor who. Saving up to get him his own little camera for Christmas as sick of finding the battery dead on mine. Does your DS collect the new starwars figures, mine discovered the antique ones for his birthday and loves them as he prefers Starwars IV-VI (I think he has a crush on Leia, as that is who he always wants to be when acting it out).

Ds collects.. The antique, the limited edition, clone wars new and old.. And probably more.

I haven't seen what the mctoys are... And keep it very very quiet if they are starwars in any way shape or form please

I think you may have just seen me look like a rabbit caught in headlights at the thought that mctoys and starwars may have been conected in any way.

I need a coffee now!

Ahh they are going great.. Although today we've been very busy making ds over ( do you know how long you can actually take choosing a shirt that feels right? Lol).

Awww, I am sooo glad that DS1 is not quite so bad about how clothes feel now, although colour is an issue. Spent ages looking for an orange coat (with a hood, with fur around it). Can I ask, I have read that lots of people with AS don't seem to feel the cold. When DS was younger he didn't - I distinctly remember as a baby someone coming up and touching him when he was just in a t-shirt saying "Oh, he isn't cold is he", and me thinking derrr, if he was he would blatantly have a jumper on.
Anyhow, now he is the opposite, he won't go out without a coat on, he lives with the hood up (hood with fur). Don't think he is cold, but could it be he is trying to hide behind it maybe? Or likes the feeling? Genuinely worried it may rain and he could get wet? Not sure if I should do something about it, or leave it because he is happy. Does get strange looks having hood up in the sun.

Could be the feel of the coat or IMHO could be that he feels secure. Honestly if it's not causing a huge problem I'd let him get on with it.
If it starts becoming an issue, I'd wean him off.

Ds2 could happily wear a t shirt in freezing cold weather but he did get attatched to a hoody that he would try and wear on the hottest days going.. Purely a comfort thing. He could hide in it and it felt nice.

He now carries a comfort pebble in his pocket at all times and rubs it.
( in RL that would sound really strange !)

Actually.. I'm wondering if an over sized beanie hat would work for him?
Bet you could get an orange one

Will have a search, thanks
Now I know I am fitting in here, didn't bat an eyelid at the comfort pebble.
