Does anyone know more about this, Ive looked on the obvious websites but would like to hear about personal experiences.

DD is waiting for her appointment with SALT, Peadiatrician and psychologist in mid August. We previously thought AS then maybe ASD or HFA. Mum showed me this last night and it seems to fit with her language issues. I want to be armed and ready for the assesment.

Thankyou for clarifying, Im finding the similarity in disorders very confusing!Your experiences sound familiar but a little different.

DD has never been a good talker, first diagnosis was possible glue ear but no hearing loss issues, in fact she has very sensitive hearing. She is nearly 5 and seems to be chatting more...well repeating. But losing pronounciation, babbling. She has an occassional American accent, Im English and DH is Scottish!? We get a lot of phrases too...'Not today another day'..'Daddy gone to work'...repeated of course. She seems to manage simple conversation with us but blanks other people and often struggles to answer direct questions. She has other traits, routined, very literal, likes to play alone, obsessive, possesive, very clever....meltdowns!

How early did you see symptoms in DD1? How old is she now? My DS is 1, Im constantly on the look out, prob due to not seeing it in DD...guilt!

Ive read a lot of stuff that says adult speech/well developed vocab etc, we dont have that at all.

Your DD2 sounds like my DD...I dont think my DD ever had glue ear. Dont get me wrong she is very noisey just no sense in it all. I love her funny accents, she recently got into Mickey Mouse so everything is very squeaky right now! lol.

Got an appointment on 18th, will let you know what the docs say!
