dla appeals

i applied for dla in april of this year but got turned down, i appealed and since then have been dx-d with AS, i phoned and told dla last week and they said they are awaiting clarification from my consultant,does this mean that i should get something? ot can u still get turned down even with a dx?

Yes I'm afraid you can. I'm sure it helps but is not a guarantee.

It was my ds's paeditrician who told me to apply for DLA in the first place, he said that my ds should get DLA based on his autistic diagnosis alone, but initially we got turned down. Good luck.
