Anyone else struggle with having a large for their age child who is 'young' finding them suitable clothes and shoes?

My DS (ASD) is 5 but am now buying age 8-9 in clothes and size 13 in shoes yet he still likes Peppa Pig, Thomas, In the night Garden, etc. Finding these in big sizes is pretty impossible!

Anyone else struggle with this or know any sites/shops that stock preschool character stuff in larger sizes??

You could try using t-shirt transfers?

Dd2 is 4 and in age 5-6 clothes, luckily Next have started doing the younger girls clothes in sizes up to 5-6 instead of 4-5 so she can still have Peppa pig clothes.

You have just reminded me Marne I have some litle wall-e transfers somewhere that I was going to put onto vests and forgot about I will have to find them dig them out! Do you have the chain store 'Boyes' near you Marne? Thy have had cute Peppa pig canvas trainers in recently but all too small for DS (they had pink peppa ones and blue george ones - he was most disgruntled they didn't have any in his size!)

Leonie - my sisters dcs are all small for their age too, she says its good as they get wear out of clothes but finding them to fit just right is a real pain!

DS is tall and broad plus he still wears pull ups so that adds to his clothing that fits nicely dilemma too.

ds is 5 in november and wears 6-7 stuff, we find that tesco do some preschool characters up to that kind of size and ive seen odd ones 7-8 but more along lines of toy story, disney cars etc but still quite young stuff compared to batman etc! so maybe they do bigger too, i get them in sales whenever i see them along with big size pull up elasticated jeans!

TheLifeOfRiley- we dont have a 'Boyes' , we have trouble finding shoes for dd2 as her feet are so wide, flat and turn inwards, she wears kickers boots most of the time, she would love peppa pig shoes .
