I have just got hold of a pattern for bandana style dribble bibs. I would like to make some and pass them on to anyone who needs them and I thought of your DD. If you wouldnt mind - I wont be offended if you would rather not - honest.

The pattern I have is for babies so I think it may be too small.

If you have a minute could you measure DD's bibs?

I would appreciate any advice on what makes a good/bad bib if you have a moment.

I havent made them before so I might be crap but I would like to have a go. I have a sewing corner now (Yay!) and I would like to have some projects on the go.

Am making hickman line bags but they are really quick to make. I have been meaning to make bibs for ages.

Time to get my arse in gear.

Please dont feel you have to get involved if you dont want to. I just saw your post about how many you get through and how expensive they are and it reminded me that I have been meaning to do this for a while.

Thats great. I was wondering about fastenings. I will check out the commercial websites.

Size? Approx would be fine. I dont want to make them and find out they are too small.

When you get a sec. I have to get some fabrics.

I was thinking cotton for the front and terry/towelling for the back. Does that sound right?

Got holiday housework, shopping to do this week and then I want to plan in some sewing time as OH is term time only. He can watch the kids while I escape to the shed

I have uploaded photos of my first go on my profile.

Its a small size. It fits round my chubby two year old's neck but I only did it as a prototypee .

I would be greatful if anyone who uses the bibs would have a look and comment. Honest comments please, I am looking for advice.

It looks a bit grubby because it ended up on the dog for a bit (dont ask).

The front is an off cut of cotton I had and the back is a piece cut from an Ikea hand towel (their cheapest range).

Feedback would be appreciated.

Ta
