Has anyone done the OU course on 'Understanding the Autistic Spectrum'?

Just wondered if anyone had and what they thought about it - did it help you understand you child a bit more?

I know someone who did it and she speaks highly of it. It's something I'd be interested in doing (when I finally get some time!). Have done other OU stuff and I do recommend them (but not if you're overloading yourself otherwise you'll end up dropping it like I did...)

There are some free OpenLearn materials on autism here. I believe the OpenLearn materials are based on materials used in the full OU courses (like a free taster) so it should give you some idea of what it's like.
