Morning,

We have been flexi-schooling ds for almost a full school year. The head said "if we could come into school once a week and show him the work we are doing at home",he would authorise the afternoon absence.

just got ds report and guess what the afternoons where we home school are NOT down as authorised. It was noticed by the people who look at truanting and persistent absentses(poor spelling!)when they were in school last.Don't want them on my back

Do i go and see t head before end of term on thurs or write a letter or should i let it lie until september?.
Thankyou

Write a letter/phone them now so that they can change it.

Did you get the headteacher's agreement in writing? In future, make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing and take minutes of all meetings so you've got back-up to the back up (sorry, not being a know-it-all, just a die-hard cynic these days, based on my own experienes!).

Request an urgent meeting with the Head - don't mention what it is about, but say it cannot wait and must happen before the end of term. Then find out what on earth this is all about. It could have been an administrative oversight (hopefully that is the case).
