Ear defenders

Can anybody recommend a good, cheap, lightweight pair of ear defenders I can buy for DS2 (8) please?

We are being very brave and going to a small child-friendly local festival next weekend. Only 10 min drive away so although we are camping it won't be a disaster if we have to come home!

He has some auditory processing difficulties and I thought it might be a good idea to take some just in case. Only issue is the sensory stuff which means he often dislikes anything too tight/ heavy on his head - so it might be a no-go which is why I would prefer cheap

Builder merchant type places sell them, I got ds a cheap spare pair out of 'winfields' for £3.99, not great to look at but just as good as his uber expensive peltor ones.

my ds has peltor kids ear defenders, he also has a little mp3 player with the huge padded headphones which he seems to like as it not only blocks out the noise he doesnt like but distracts him - well thats what i think he thinks anyway!!

We have these for dcs. They are fully adjustable and still fit all three of them.

They look a little bulky, but are surprisingly lightweight and all three of my dcs are happy wearing them, including ds1 (8 years old and ASD) who can be funny about hats/hair/anything to do with his head really and my dd (typical contrary 17 month old ).

We got ours off ebay a couple of years ago and I think you can get them on there for about £9.00, but they may not deliver them in time for next weekend.
