Speech and Learning difficulties, what learning aids are out there.

I have been taking care of a five year old boy who hums but does not speak and he also does not like holding a pencil to write. He is not in the UK so not much help is available. I would like to do more for him but I just don't know what learning materials or aids are out there to motivate him. Can any one help me on this?

hi there temmy - i am new here but i have recently found a great website for picture exchange communication cards. it is www.mrsriley.com. a lovely site and easy to use. hope this helps. if you are not familiar with this system, you can google PEC symbols or picture exchange communication on how to use them. good luck xx
