Speech therapy!

So... got a call today 8 months after Wee Weapon 2's last speech therapy session (he did 5 then went back on the waiting list). Next week he is due an assessment and then... you've guessed it... another 5 weeks speech therapy before going back on the waiting list.

What can I do? There is no recourse with Haringey. I don't have the money to go private, have no kidneys left to sell.

Ideas needed please. I called the London Children's Practice who have a fund that I can apply to, but who knows what results that will yield.

I'm so fecking frustrated and angry!

How old is your son? Is he in school yet? If he is in school already, you could push the SENCo to assess for speech therapy needs, and then hopefully he could get speech in school.

Sadly the speech therapists don't come into school but I will give another push and see if that brings results. Thank you.
