I am training to be a TA and would like to be LSA for children with ASD. Does anyone know whre i can find out what additional training/ qualifications i would need.

I'm a teacher in ASD specialist provision - I did the autism specific ACE (advanced cert in education) which is a distance learning prog from Birminham. But that was about 10yrs ago
We now have a new set of courses for our support staff but on the whole they're in-house, in that our company [charity] has got the programmes accredited and we now deliver them to our own staff plus anyone who wants to come to them from local sen schools.
Maybe take a hunt around the NAS provision - esp if you are in an affiliated school.
