Hi all!
My daughter has been diagnosed with ADHD. She is 10. School has refused any support/help for years so we went and paid for a private diagnosis. I also got in touch with YNAS and put LA wellbeing team. So finally! School are giving her an IDP.
She has awful, awful anxiety. She did stop going to school for a bit and is now going in until 12.15 as she hates lunch time (she can't make any decisions incase its "wrong' eg good choices, dinner or packed lunch. she worries about playing with friends )
Anyway, sorry, my point is what should I expect from the IDP. I went to the PCP meeting and had to fight for the IDP as they saus she didnt need one to start... so I dont think they are going to put much on there.
Ive asked for more help with transitions as she doesn't cope well with change. And also she is allowed sensory putty online class ans movement breaks. They are looking at how to help support her to stay in school for lunch.
Thanks for any help!

What you can expect depends on DD’s needs. The IDP should set out DD’s needs and the provision she requires to meet those needs. If you haven’t already, have a look at the Nodi guide and SNAP Cymru.
