What’s everyone’s thoughts on governments wanting to change DLA for adhd/autism & pip into receipt fund??

I genuinely think there are people milking the system but damn this will take a toll on many disabled children and adults. Can you imagine the impact and suffering of the situation?

Changes to reimbursing expenses would be pointless for most. Most spend far more on disability related expenses than they receive in disability benefits. Administering such a system would also increase costs.

It would also add to the workload of carers who are already taking on far more than many.

Cutting benefits would also see an increase in costs elsewhere. For example, if you cut DLA/PIP, more will be forced to pursue hospital transport or look at the low income HTCS.

I did roll my eyes when I read you think people are milking the system. There is enough benefit bashing, particularly disability benefit bashing, on the main boards. The SEN/SN boards don’t need it too.
