Worried about 2 year old son

Hi, just after a bit of advice. My son is 2 years and 3 months old. He doesn't seem to have much understating of direction but loves abcs, counting and singing. He very rarely responds to his name. Prefers to pay alone. His crèche has now brought these things up to me and offering a SEN assistant for him and that I would contact my health visitor.
I'm now extremely worried. Has anyone any advise on what I can do to help him? Thanks

Has his hearing been tested, OP?

I wonder whether he can't hear his name being called, especially if there is other noise around him.

He failed his newborn hearing test 4 times before passing but hasn't had it checked again. I will contact my health visitor Monday morning to see if we can be referred for one.

Speaking to your HV is a good idea, particularly in light of your post about DS’s hearing.
