Sen child and divorce

What is the better outcome? I’m on my knees appreciate the “help” from the partner on a weekend. Monday to Friday is a no go as he works exceptionally long hours 60 hrs plus (with the extra of weekends / holidays / when he is at home etc)

The kid is pda theoretically EOTAS still trying to receive anything that is meaningful with a very stressful job my “husband” ( or should I say anyone that can actually walk through into my house for help with an EHCP but 2.5 years and still nothing)

Done this 7 years. My life is dead now. Pda kid. Loves life at home.

What is better -

  1. mix and match (that’s the assumption the “husband” will chip in
  2. live in this hermit shit zone
  3. Any other ideas

The law quite xyz and they will provide it. Or a carer assessment it’s not going to do anything either.

So anyone been in this situation what should happen?

I can’t look after the sen child any more (no school and “EOTAS” supposed to be but yet nothing provided” this is with spending thousands on evidence, a shit avocate plus all the rest.

Please does divorce help and divide but then the “partner / aka husband might not “help” that much)

Any wise ideas? I’d rather be on my knees Mon - Fri in the hope he can chip in Sat / Sun. We have been totally burnt by the entire situation and family life.

Any one got any advise?

thank you x

If your reason for divorce is hoping DH would then step up and do more of the care, that could backfire. He may end up doing less. If DH isn’t doing anything to help M-F now, he is very unlikely to do anything M-F if you separated. He may not do as much at weekends as he does now, or even anything at all.

Is there provision in the EHCP that isn’t being provided? If the provision in the EHCP (and a suitable full time education if DC is CSA) isn’t being provided, you can enforce it. You don’t have to accept unlawful behaviour from the LA. Have you gone down the JR route?

Similarly, if support from social care, not just a carer’s assessment, isn’t forthcoming, you can take it further. Have you?

Is there anything you/DH can outsource to make things easier. For example, a cleaner?

I’m sorry you had a bad experience with an advocate. It is an unregulated area and really needs more regulation. While some are good, some do more harm than good.

i split with my AuDHD sons dad.
he was useless whilst together, and even more useless now.

my son also refuses to go to his dads. His home, my home, if his comfort.
