Year 9 boy with speech language disorder mild - he’s in mainstream now with some pullout and extra attention in class but he’s not reaching his potential and struggles to keep up. We re looking for a better secondary school in Surrey or Berkshire . Private or state . Please help with advice.
thank you

You could have a look at Kingswood House. If DS likes creative subjects, Frensham Heights is worth looking at, too. An unusual suggestion maybe, but I know someone whose DC with SEN was happy at Luckey House. Not in Surrey or Berkshire but may be within travelling distance for you is Canbury. Technically MS but not your typical MS.

Unless you have an EHCP, state is unlikely to be able to provide the level of support required.

Thank you ❣️we did visit kingswood in Epsom .. it’s a delightful school but not right for us . It was full of happy smiling students. Viewing Frensham soon , and thank you for suggesting Luckey house - will go investigate now
