I am a single mum with twins who are nearly 6 , they both are asd and gdd , does anyone have any recommendations for a buggy . They currently have the out n about but are growing out of it . I have tried reins but they meltdown throw them self on the floor and I had a situation the other day where one of my twins was in a meltdown on the floor and the other was trying to run away , the reins snapped . we were near a very busy road and was very unsafe as they elope and have no sense of danger , so if anybody has any suggestions for a double pram for older children would really appreciate it .

There are a few different options depending on DTs’ size and needs.

Some of the double SN buggy options are actually two singles attached together. For example, the Special Tomato EIO, Excel Elise, Maclaren and Axiom Endeavour are all like this. They are all side by side and attached together with a specific connector. The Hoggi Bingo Evolution Twin is inline rather than side by side and attached together with a connector.

Then there are tandems such as the Activate Tandem for kids, Corgi Sprint Tandem (the second seat may not be big enough for you) and Ottobock Kimba inline double.

It depends how long you want the double pram to last. If you want a regular pram or special needs pram.

Nipper was too light, squeaky and flimsy for us.

Mountain buggy was super solid and easy to push. However it’s not a double pram to get in and out of a car as it’s super heavy!

It does depend on your 6 year old size width wise but that pram can defo carry heavy weight more than what is specified. I think it was carrying easily twice or more what was recommended.

So easy to push and put slime in the wheels to prevent a puncture.

Good luck
