I’m going to tribunal over B,F&I and have private EP, SALT and OT reports. What else is good evidence or might I need to look into getting?

Do the experts you have instructed have experience in writing tribunal reports? Has at least one of them visited the school the LA is nominating, and observed your child in their current placement?

What reason has the LA given for failing to name the placement you prefer?

Make SARs to the LA, current setting, your preferred setting, proposed setting(s) and any other professional/ agency involved. It won’t all help for an appeal, but some will/may and you don’t know what will be included.

Look at the LA’s case. Make sure you have countered everything.

If the 3 independent reports are Tribunal standard, many won’t need to pay for further evidence from other independent professionals. They will collate what they have from things like schools and other professionals already involved (e.g. some may have a physio already involved or a play therapist or a dyslexia tutor or…).

Those who do look at further independent reports might look at physio, independent social worker, clinical psychologist, Teacher of the Deaf, QTVI… it really depends on DC’s needs and what other evidence you already have.
