Uniform recommendations for sensory issues

Sorry, not actually education related.
I’m looking for recommendations for sensory friendly school trousers. My DS has been allowed to wear jogging bottoms in first school but our first middle school choice (🤞🏻) may not allow this. Looking for boys trousers that are a little softer and have a more comfortable waistband.
Our current school will send the details of all they have put in place for him so fingers crossed they will allow the joggers to continue but want to be prepared with an option just in case.
TIA

You could try Sensory Smart’s school trousers.

Some boys wear girls’ jersey school trousers if that is something DS would consider.

Some find pure cotton trousers easier to wear. John Lewis do some.

However, the school must make reasonable adjustments. That includes to uniform.

What about “school shorts” that was only the thing that was tolerated in school. I think it was due to no fabric round the knees / softer / looser. Are you allowed to wear school shorts or trousers

However, schools can flex. Be strong and make them flex for reasonable adjustments and if it’s only joggers that is acceptable then keep pushing (agree to no branding etc and the school colour grey / black / navy etc)

Good luck

*This is for parents of girls with sensory issues reading this post.
If your DD struggles to wear tights, even ones that are advertised as seamless - try using footless dance tights with socks instead. It’s been a breakthrough with my DD who would only wear leggings before with her school dress. You can can buy them from Amazon or dance websites easily and they look really smart matched with ankle socks.
