DLA Tribunal- horrific!!

I had my 5 year old sons dla tribunal hearing today. It was absolutely awful, it felt I was being interrogated and made out to be a liar.

My son has severe chronic constipation, in a lot of discomfort most days and countless soiling incidents. He's undergoing genetic testing for his constipation and faltering growth.

They quizzed me endlessly on his soiling, being awake multiple times during the night due to this.

It felt like I was on a stand of trial for fraud!!

Has anyone else ever experienced this for a dla tribunal?

My anxiety is through the roof and I feel so sick that I can't eat.

I was told I would receive a letter in the post with the decision.

Not for DLA but for PIP so a similar setup. It was awful, felt the panel were unnecessarily argumentative rather than inquisitive. Cut off when trying to speak, made to feel like a liar and actually felt quite sneering in parts.

It’s not something I would ever repeat , it was humiliating. Did you go in person or was it over phone or video?

If you did it online, a decision was posted within 20 minutes of the tribunal ending (refused, as I expected the way it went).

I felt terrible for a few weeks after it. It is an awful process.

Sometimes this is how they are. Try not to read too much into it. Sometimes people feel like this and are successful.
