How old is DD?

Are you looking for a school that will allow you to self fund? Although that will be expensive. Or are you planning ahead for the EHCP?

How much of a delay is there?

Depending on the answers to the above, Alfriston may be worth a look.

Yes I think this could be an option for secondary but they specialise in speech, more looking for day options so we can release some of the pressure from day to day main stream school

In order to give you suggestions, can you provide more information in the way of the questions I asked in my pp - how old is DD (presumably primary but what age? Some SS who admit e.g. Y4 don’t admit reception.), are you looking for somewhere to self fund now or are you planning ahead for the EHCP, what level of delay does DD have? Without more information, any suggestions may be pointless because they may be for the wrong age group, might not accept self funders if that is what you want, &/or may be the wrong profile cohort.

What do you mean by “more looking for day options so we can release some of the pressure from day to day main stream school”? Alfriston is a SS for DC with MLD/SCLN (it doesn’t just focus on the S) and would do this (once DD is old enough - hence the question about age), assuming you are within travelling distance, but it doesn’t sound like you think it will, so can you explain what exactly you are looking for?
