Just received my DS ADHD (combined) diagnosis today. (We live outside the uk) feel relieved that we are on the path to helping him.
just wondered if anyone has any advice or words for a Mum of a child with this newly diagnosed superpower?
for reference we’ve been given a treatment plan which includes OT, psychological therapy, extra support teacher within school, & parental counselling.
any advice on what works best for you is grateful appreciated.

My son started medication at age 6 and changed our lives in a very positive way. It takes a while to get right med and dose but the side effects decreased after a month. Ask Ot for primitive reflex assessment as most adhd children have retained reflexes. Good luck

I second the primitive reflex integration therapy with an OT. It's a game changer.
