DS is 3 and doesn’t have any words. He has obvious signs of ASD but hasn’t had a diagnosis yet. He has been referred to the NHS SALT team but and he has had the assessment but the waiting time for the first session is around 24 months, potentially even longer. I have tried to look for a private speech therapist but they are all booked or don’t do home visits. I another child who’s under 1 and work so can’t compromise on that. If you know of anyone please do let me know.

If you want ongoing sessions with home visits, you are going to need to say where you are.

Although regardless of where you are, many independent SALTs will have a waiting list. That is how it is now, I’m afraid.

Confused If you want recommendations you need to post a rough location. No-one can make suggestions without at least knowing what county you are in. The SEN board isn’t a local board.

Are you in Leicester? I assume you thought you are on a local mumsnet page, but this side is global. Many Prep Schools with nurseries have visiting SaLTs, as NHS SaLTs usually won't go into independent schools. You could call local schools like Ratcliffe College or Leicester Grammar School and ask if they could pass on your details if they have someone independent coming in. That's the way we found a SaLT for my daughter until she'd got NHS sessions.

If you are in Leicester, you could try Train Talk, Speakeasy Therapy, and Words and Much More.
