Hi

Have an 11 month old baby and think he is already showing early autism signs.

He very occasionally only responds to his name, flaps his hands all the time, bounces a lot whilst constantly moving his hand & leg, stares at his hands & fingers a lot, very quiet baby( does not babble much), does not say mama or dada, he does not understand no or follow commands such as give it to me or come here. He does not really play with other kids, instead just keeps staring at them. If other kids make a loud noise, he gets very upset whilst other kids in the playgroup seem fine. He also does not repeat any sound back and physically he still does not crawl. But he can wave and clap, has a decent eye contact and gives social smile.

I don’t know why I am doing this post. I guess just trying to see if they show this early sign, does it mean the level of autism will be more severe?
